Initial fraction

=3/4

New fration

=4/7

Solution:-

$Let \: fraction \: be \: \frac{3x}{4x} \\ \: therefore \: \: new \: fraction \\ = \frac{3x - 5}{4x + 5} = \frac{4}{7}$

On solving:-

7(3x-5)=4(4x+5)

21x-35=16x+20

5x=15

x=3

Therefore, Fraction:-

$\frac{3x}{4x} \\ = \frac{3 \times 3}{3 \times 4} \\ = \frac{9}{12} \: \: \: \: \:$
