when the fraction is greater than 4 / 9

then the equation formed

= (4/ 9 ) + x

when the fraction is less than 5 / 9
_______________________________
then the equation formed

= ( 5 /9 ) - x

according to question ,

(4 / 9 ) + x = ( 5 / 9 ) - x

x + x = 5 / 9 - 4 / 9

2 x =( 5 - 4 ) / 9

2x = 1 / 9

x = 1 / 2 × 9

x = 1 / 18

therefore , the required fraction = 1 / 18
