The Fraction is 3/7

Explanation:

Let the Fraction be x/y

(x+3)/(y+3) = 3/5

5(x+3) = 3(y+3)

5x+15 = 3y+9 (or) y = (5x+6)/3

5x-3y = -6 ...(i)

(x+9)/(y+9) = 3/4

4(x+9) = 3(y+9)

4x+36 = 3y+27

4x-3y = -9 ...(ii)

(i) - (ii) :

5x - x - 3y + 3y = -6 + 9

x = 3

y = (5*3 + 6)/3 = 7

Therefore, The Fraction (x/y) = 3/7

Answer:

3/7

Step-by-step explanation:

let the fraction be x/y

(x+3)/(y+3)=3/5

5(x+3)=3(y+)

5x+15=3y+9(or)y=(5x+6)/3

5x-3y= -6......( i )

(x+9)/(y+9)=3/4

4(x+9)=3(y+9)

4x-3y= -9...... ( ii )

5x-x-3y+3y= -6+9

x=3

y= (5*3+6) / 3=7
