Answer:

let the fraction be x/y

therefore, (x+2) /(y+2) =1/2

2x+4=y+2

2x-y=-2 --------1 eq.

secondly,

x+12/y+12=3/4

4x+48=3y+36

4x-3y=-12 ----------2 eq

solve both eq. by elimination, cross multiplication or substitution method and get the answer

Answer:

A.T.Q

x+12/y+12= 3/4

4x+ 48= 3y+ 36

4x-3y = -12--------2)

from eq. 1&2

2x-y=-2-------- multiply by 2

4x-2y = -4

4x-3y = -12

- + +

y = 8

put the value of y in eq.1

2x-8= -2

2x= -2+8

2x = 6

x= 3

the fraction becomes 3/8

hope it will help u
