find the free fall accleration of an object on the surface of the moon,if the radious of the moon and its mass are 1740km and 7.4×10²²kg respectively. Compare the value with free fall accleration of a body on thesurface of earth.
(ans; 1.63 m/s²) you try your level best

We know that  g = GM/r^2

                            = (6.673 * 10^-11 N.m^2/kg^2) * (7.4 * 10^22 kg)/(1740000 m)^2

                            = 1.63m/s^2

Hope this helps!

ehbdhjxhknh: can we use the constant value of G in each problem
siddhartharao77: Yes.
ehbdhjxhknh: or is it meant for only this problem
siddhartharao77: U can use with that formula.
siddhartharao77: There are 2 constant values g = 9.8 m/s^2 and G = 6.673 x 10-11 Nm^2/kg^2
siddhartharao77: Those values never change.
ehbdhjxhknh: you mean 6.673×10^-11
siddhartharao77: Yes.
ehbdhjxhknh: thanks
siddhartharao77: Welcome
