The general term for an arithmetic sequence is

a_n = a_1 + (n - 1)d,

where a_1 is the first term , n is the term number or “index”, and d is the common difference.

In this case, a_1 = 4 and d = 3, so the general term would be

a_n = 4 + 3(n - 1).

Test: a_4 = 4 + 3(4 - 1) = 4 + 3 \cdot 3 = 4 + 9 = 13 \checkmark.

OPTION C IS RIGHT \red\checkmark
