Let the mean between 6 and 24 be x
Since,
a:b : : b:c
Where b is the mean of a and c
Therefore, 6:x : : x:24
=> 6/x = x/24
=> x² = 6×24
=> x = √144
=> x = 12
So, the mean between 6 and 24 is 12.
