Find the gravitational force between the Sun and the Earth. The mass of the sun is 2.0 x 10 ^ 30 kg, and that of the Earth is 6.0 x 10 ^ 24 kg. The distance between the sun and the earth is 1.5 x 10 ^11 metres.

Explanation:

so gravitational can be found by

G (m1)(m2)/d^2

= G(2×10^30)(6×10^24)/(1.5×10^11)^2

= G× 12 × 10^54/2.25× 10^22

= G× 5.3× 10^54 - 22

= G × 5.3× 10^32

now val of G = 6.67 × 10 ^-11

= 6.67 × 10^-11 × 5.3 × 10^32

= 35.351 × 10^21 answer

Given :

M_1=mass of sun=2×{10}^{30}\:kg

M_2=mass of earth=6×{10}^{24}\:kg

R= Avg. distance between the Earth and the Sun =1.5×{10}^{11}\:m

G=6.7×{10}^{-11}\:N{m}^{2}/{kg}^{2}

According to universal law of gravitation,

F=\frac{G×M_1×M_2}{{r}^{2}}\\\\=\frac{6.7×{10}^{-11}×2×{10}^{30}×6×{10}^{24}}{{(1.5×{10}^{11})}^{2}}\\\\\\\underline{F=3.57×{10}^{22}\:N}\\\\\\\underline{\boxed{\sf{ F=3.57×{10}^{22}\:N}}}
