Heya mate !! here is the solution of your question:-

Given question :-

Find the greater of the two 5/(-12) and 9/4

SOLUTION :-

Given fractions = 5/-12 = -5/12

The other fraction = 9/4

LCM of 12 and 4 = 12

First fraction = -5/12 = -5×1/12×1= -5/12

Second fraction = 9/4 = 9×3/4×3 = 27/12

Comparison of -5/12 and 27/12

As we know , positive number is always greater than negative number and so positive fraction is greater than negative fraction .

Thus ,

-5/12 < 27/12

Answer :-

5÷(-12) < 9÷4
