Find the HCF(216,156)

a=216

b=156

a=bq+r

216=156×1+50

156=50×3+6

50=6×8+2

6=2×3+0

HCF(156,216)=2

Therefore, 2 metre is the greatest length of the measuring tape to measure 216 and 156 metres.
