The greatest 4 digit number = 9999

Now,

take the LCM of 15, 24, and 36:-

Prime Factorization Method

15 = 3 × 5

24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

36 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3

LCM=  {2}^{3}  \times  {3}^{2}  \times 5 = 360

On dividing 9999 by 360, remainder = 279

Now,

9999 - 279 = 9720

So,

9720 is the greatest number of four digit which is exactly divisible by 15, 24, and 36.
