Find the greatest number which divides 398,436 and 542 leaving remainders 7,11 and 15 respectively​

Answer:

So we will substract remainder from number

i.e. 398-7=391

436-11=425

542-15=527

So now we will find H.C.F of these numbers using prime factorisation method

391= 17×23

425=5×5×17

527=17×31

Therefore greatest number which divides 398,436and 542 leaving remainder 7,11 and 15 is 17
