420 = 130×3+30
130 = 30×4+10
30 = 10×3+0
therefore 10 is hcf of 420 and 130

Apply Euclid's Division Lemma on 420 and 130 

420=130 x 3+30
as r≠ 0 so again apply Euclid's division Lemma on 130 and 30

130= 30 X 4+10
as r≠ 0 so again apply Euclid's division Lemma on 30 and 10

30 = 10 X 3 + 0
As r=0 so HCF = 10
