Prime Factorisation:

34 = 2×17

76 = 2×2×19

H.C.F = 2

L.C.M = 2² × 17 × 19 = 1292

Answer:

HCF = 1292 and LCM = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

As per the question,

As we know that HCF is defined as highest common factor and LCM is defined as lowest common factor .

Now,

Given number are 34 and 76

Write the number in its factor form that is,

34 = 2 × 17

76 = 2 × 2 × 19

For HCF:

highest common factors are 2, 2, 17, 19

∴ HCF  = 2 × 2 × 17 × 19 = 1292

For LCM:

Lowest common factor is 2 only.

∴ LCM = 2

Hence, HCF = 1292 and LCM = 2 .
