using euclid division lemma -

75 = 35 x 2 + 5
35 = 5 x 7 + 0
thus , hcf of 75 and 35 is 5

now ,
         15 = 5 x 3 + 0
 HENCE , HCF ( 75,15,35 ) = 5

Answer:

The HCF of 15, 75, and 35 is 5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The numbers are 15, 75, and 35.

We have to find the HCF of the above numbers.

  • As we know that, the HCF (Highest Common Factor) of two or more numbers is the highest number among all the common factors of the given numbers.
  • HCF is also known as the greatest common factor.

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

The numbers are 15, 75, and 35.

First, we will find the factors of the above numbers.

The factors of 15 are: 1, 3, 5, 15

The factors of 35 are: 1, 5, 7, 35

The factors of 75 are: 1, 3, 5, 15, 25, 75

From the above, we can see that 5 is the highest number among all the common factors of the given numbers.

So, the greatest common factor(HCF) is 5.
