we know that,

So, writing given numbers in form of multiples of prime factors we get

→ 4 * 9 * 16 = 2 * 2 * 3 * 3 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 = 2⁶ * 3²

→ 2 * 3 * 4 = 2 * 3 * 2 * 2 = 2³ * 3¹

then,

→ HCF = Product of least power of common factors = 2³ * 3¹ = 24

therefore, HCF of given numbers is equal to 24 .
