1120 = 5 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 7 x 1

HCF = 5 x 7 x 1 = 35

LCM = ?

RELATION :-

hcf x lcm = Product of two numbers

35 x LCM = 525 x 1120

LCM = \frac{588000}{35}

LCM = \frac{117600}{7}

LCM = 16800

Given : Numbers 525  and 1120

To Find : HCF  by the prime factorisation method

their LCM using the relation formula.

Solution:

525   = 3 * 5 * 5  * 7

1120   = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 5 * 7

HCF = 5 * 7

=> HCF = 35

LCM * HCF  = 525 * 1120

=> LCM * 35  =   525 * 1120

=> LCM = 15 * 1120

=> LCM = 16800

HCF = 35 ,  LCM = 16800
