find the HCF of 54 and 81 and use it to find the LCM

AlexaDarkblood88: Hey, I am commenting since the app is not letting me to answer your question.
HCF = 27
LCM = (54,81)-3
(18,27)-3
(6,9)-3
(2,3)-3
(2,1)-2
(1,1)
Therefore, LCM = 3*3*3*3*2 = 9*9*2 = 81*2 = 162
This is my answer.
Hope it helps!
ranch0: yeah now it is correct.
AlexaDarkblood88: HCF is 27 because,
54/9 = 6
81/9 = 9
6&9 are both divisible by 3.
Therefore HCF = 9*3 = 27.
ranch0: this is not my ques. btw but both answers on this ques. are wrong.

HCF is 9

Also, product of two numbers=HCF*LCM
54*81=9*LCM
4374=9*LCM
4374/9=LCM
486=LCM

Therefore, LCM is 486

ranch0: how the hcf is 9?
ranch0: do not tell wrong answers.
AlexaDarkblood88: 9 is the correct answer

HCF = Highest Common Factor
54 = 2 x 3³
81 = 3⁴
so HCF = 3³ = 27
HCF x LCM = product of 2 numbers
27 x LCM = 54 x 81
so, LCM = 162.
