Given : a²- a    and a + 1

To find : HCF

Solution:

HCF - Highest common factor

a²- a   = a (a - 1)

a + 1

Factors  of  a²- a

1  , a  , (a - 1)

Factors  of a + 1

1 , a+1

common factor is 1 .

HCF = 1

hcf of (a²-a)(a+1)   is 1
