a) 504 > 140

504 = 140 × 3 + 84

140 = 84 × 1 + 56

84 = 56 × 1 + 28

56 = 28 × 2 + 0

HCF = 28

2) 282 > 235

282 = 235 × 1 + 47

235 = 47 × 5 + 0

HCF = 47

And, 188 > 47

188 = 47 × 4

HCF = 47
