Solution :

(for factorisation, refer to attachment)

so, 140 = 1×2×2×5×7

160 = 1×2×2×2×2×2×5

240 = 1×2×2×2×2×5×3

So common factor of 140, 160 & 240 = 1,2,2 & 5

So , highest common factor = 2×2×5 = 20

hcf = 20
