mass of pan , m = 200 gm

change in temperature, ∆T = 8°C

recieving energy , Q = 2000J

heat capacity is the ratio of amount of heat supplied to change in temperature while specific heat capacity is the amount of heat supplied per unit mass per unit change in temperature.

heat capacity , C = Q/∆T

= 2000J/8 = 250 J/K

and specific heat capacity , S = Q/m∆T

= 2000/(200 × 8)

= 10/8 = 1.25 J/Kg/K
