Answer :–

  • Height (h) of a parallelogram = 16 cm.

Given :–

  • Area of a parallelogram = 368 cm².
  • Base of a parallelogram (b) = 23 cm.

To Find :–

  • Height (h) of a parallelogram.

Solution :–

We know that,

• Area of a parallelogram = Base (b) × Height (h)

Given values are,

  • Area of a parallelogram = 368 cm²
  • Base (b) of a parallelogram = 23 cm.

Now, put the given values in the formula of area of a parallelogram.

So,

→ 23 cm × h = 368 cm²

→ h =  \sf \dfrac{\cancel{368}  \: \cancel{ {cm}}^{2} }{\cancel{23}  \: \cancel{cm}}

→ h = \sf \dfrac{16}{1} \: cm

→ h = 16 cm

Hence,

The height (h) of a parallelogram is 16 cm.

Check :–

• Area of a parallelogram = Base (b) × Height (h)

  • Area of a parallelogram = 368 cm²
  • Base (b) = 23 cm.
  • Height (h) = 16 cm.

Now, put all the values in the formula of area of a parallelogram.

→ 368 cm² = 23 cm × 16 cm

→ 368 cm² = 368 cm²

Since, the L.H.S. and the R.H.S. are equal.

So, the height (h) of a parallelogram is 16 cm is correct.
