Given :-
radius of the base of the cylinder = 3.5cm
height of the cylinder = ?
lateral surface area of the cylinder = 440cm²
here, we've to find the height of the cylinder.
we know the formula for the lateral surface area of a cylinder that is 2πrh .
therefore 2πrh = 440cm²
➡ 2 × 22/7 × 3.5 × h = 440cm²
➡ 44/2 × h = 440cm²
➡ 22 × h = 440cm²
➡ h = 440/22
➡ h = 20cm
hence, the height of the cylinder is 20cm.
