GIVEN,

100 cm stick cast 55 cm shadow.

100 cm = 55 cm

1 cm of an object cast $\dfrac {55}{100}cm$ shadow = 0.55cm

HENCE,

LET THE HEIGHT OF POLE BE = "X"

0.55 × X = 200

X = $\dfrac {200}{0.55}$

X = 4000cm

or,

X = 40m

HEIGHT OF POLE BE 4000cm or 40m
