area of triangle =1/2*base*height
area=72,base=16
72=1/2*16*h
72=8*h
72/8=h
9=height

Answer:  let height of the triangle be x

               area= 72cm^2

                base= 16cm

                 area of right angle triangle= 1/2 *height*base

                  72= 1/2*x*16

                   72= 8*x

                   x= 72/8

                   x= 9

terefore height of triangle = 9cm
