we have 3 sides therefore
by herons
S=45+45+72/2
S=81
area of triangle=√S(S-side1) (S-side2) (S-side3)
=√81(81-45) (81-45) (81-72)
=√81×36×36×9
=9×6×6×3
=324×3
=972cm^2
therefore the area of triangle is 972cm°2

hello,
for isosceles triangle the height can be found out by using pythagoras theorem
consider triangle ABC with AB=AC=45cm and BC=72cm
when u drop a perpendicular from A to BC which intersects BC at D,BD=DC as in isosceles triangle perpendicular from vertex angle bisects the base
by pythagoras theorem AD²+BD²=AB²
AD is height BD is half of BC=36cm and AB=45cm
∴AD²=45²-36²
=2025-1296 = AD²
=729=AD²
AD=√729
AD=27cm
∴height of triangle ABC is 27cm
