solution ⤵️

Total surface area of the cylinder =2πr(r+h)

curved surface area of the cylinder =2πrh

lateral surface area of the cylinder =2πr²

given data,

radius of cylinder=7cm

tsa of the cylinder =968cm²

now we find the height

let Height of the cylinder be x cm

total surface area of the cylinder =2πr(r+h)=2×22/7×7(7+x)=968

or,44/7×7(7+x)=968

or,44(7+x)=968

or,7+x=968/44=22

or,7+x=22.

or,x=22-7

or,x=15

Height of the cylinder=15cm

cylinder:-

A cylinder is defined as a surface consisting of all the points on all the lines which are parallel to agiven line and which pass through a fixed plane curve in a plane not parallel to the given line. Suchcylinders have, at times, been referred to as generalized cylinders .
