Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

use Pythagorean formula.

draw a median for the triangle now the median is h is the perpendicular

and hypotenuse is 15

base is divided into half=7.5

15^2 = 7.5^2 + h^2

225 - 56.25 = h^2

168.75 = h^2

h = 12.99 cm

Q) Find height of equilateral triangle with side 12 cm.

--------------------------

Answer :- 13 cm

-------------------------

Solution :-

Height of an equilateral triangle = \frac{\sqrt{3} }{2} *side

-------------------------

Here,

  • Side = 15 cm

So,

Height = \frac{\sqrt{3} }{2} *side

= \frac{\sqrt{3} }{2} *15

= 1.73*\frac{15}{2}

= \frac{25.95}{2}

= 12.97

= 13 cm

Therefore :-

Height of equilateral triangle = 13 cm.
