Given : A Tower

To find  : How to Measure Height without climbing

Solution:

We will take  a stick of height  h

and place it on ground

and will find a point from where we can just see the top of building

and mark that point

and measure the Distance of that point from the Stick on groud  call it  d

& distance of base of  building  fro that point call it  b

formula used  

 Height of building / height of Stick  =  Distance of point from base of building / Distance of point from bottom of Stick

=>   Height of building / h  =   b/d

=> height of building  = h * b /d

in this way we can find height of building without climbing

other similar way :  

See the Shadow of tower/building

and stand between shadow & building such that your shadow comes at the edge of building shadow .

Now Measure your height  & Shadow edge point distance from Your foot  & base of building and calculate in same way as calculated earlier
