 \frak {\underline {\dag \; \; Question : 1}}

  • Find the height of Trapezium the sum of length of whose bases as 39cm and whose area is 65 cm².

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \frak {\underline {\dag \; \; Given :}}

  • Area of trapezium = 65 cm²
  • Sum of length of bases = 39 cm.

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \frak {\underline {\dag \; \; To \; find :}}

  • Height of trapezium

\frak {\underline {\dag \; \; Formula :}}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \boxed {\sf { Area \; of \; trapezium \; = \dfrac {1}{2} \times {sum\; of \; parallel \; sides} \times h}}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \frak {\underline {\dag \; \; Solution :}}

 \implies \sf { 65 = \dfrac{39}{2} \times h}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf { 65 \times \dfrac {2}{39} = h }

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf { \dfrac{130}{39} = h}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf   {3.33  = h}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

Therefore, the height of trapezium = 3.33 cm.

 \frak {\underline { \dag \; \; Question : 2 }}

  • Find the surface area of cube whose one edge is 11 cm.

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \frak {\underline { \dag \; \; Given :}}

  • Edge of cube = 11 cm

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \frak {\underline {\dag \; \; To \; find :}}

  • Surface area of cube

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \frak {\underline {\dag \; \; Formula :}}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \boxed {\sf {T.S.A \; of \; cube = 6(side)^2}}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \frak {\underline {\dag \; \; Solution :}}

 \implies \sf { T.S.A = 6(11)^2}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf { T.S.A =6(121)}

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

 \implies \sf { T.S.A = 726}

Question 1 :

  • Find the height of Trapezium the sum of length of whose sum of parallel sides is 39cm and whose area is 65cm².

Given :

  • Area of Trapezium = 65cm²
  • Sum of parallel sides (a + b) = 39cm

To Find :

  • Height of the Trapezium

Solution :

We know that,

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Area = ½ × (a + b) × height

⟶⠀Area = ½ × (a + b) × height

⟶⠀65 = ½ × 39 × height

⟶⠀65 × 2 = 39 × height

⟶⠀130 = 39 × height

⟶⠀130/39 = height

⟶⠀3.33 = height⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀[approx]

So, Height of the Trapezium is 3.33cm

Question 2 :

  • Find the surface area of a cube whose edge is 11cm.

Given :

  • Shape = Cube
  • Side of Cube = 11cm

To Find :

  • Total Surface Area (TSA)

Solution :

We know that,

⠀⠀⠀⠀Total Surface Area = 6(side)²

⟶⠀Total Surface Area = 6 × (side)²

⟶⠀Total Surface Area = 6 × (11)²

⟶⠀Total Surface Area = 6 × 11 × 11

⟶⠀Total Surface Area = 6 × 121

⟶⠀Total Surface Area = 726cm²

So, Total Surface Area of Cube is 726cm²
