Given :  A trapezium whose area is 420 sq cm and the sum of the length of its parallel side is 30 cm.

To Find : height of trapezium

Solution:

Trapezium is a quadrilateral with one exactly pair of opposite sides parallel

height of trapezium  = Distance between parallel sides

Area of Trapezium = (1/2)(Sum of Parallel side) * height

Sum of Parallel sides = 30 cm

Area = 420 cm²

Height = h  cm

=> 420  = (1/2) (30) h

=> 420 = 15h

=> h = 420/15

=> h =  28

height of trapezium  is 28  cm
