Answer:

LSA =  256                             TSA =  4096

Step-by-step explanation:

LSA = a^{4}

LSA = 4^{4}

LSA = 256cm^{2}

TSA = a^{6}

TSA =4^{6}

TSA = 4096cm^{2}

Given:- a cube whose edge is 4cm.

To Find:-

  • Lateral surface area and
  • Total surface area of cube

Solution:-

(i) Lateral Surface Area of cube = 4 edge²

= 4 × (4)²

= 4 × 16

= 54cm²

(ii) Total Surface Area of cube = 6 edge²

= 6 (4)²

= 6 × 16

= 96cm²

Therefore, LSA of cube is 54 sq cm and TSA is 96 sq cm.

Extra Formulas:-

Cuboid:

  • Volume = (l x b x h) cubic units

  • Surface area = 2(lb + bh + lh)

  • Diagonal = l^2 + b^2 + h^2

Cylinder:

  • Volume = (r^2h) cubic units.

  • Curved surface area = (2rh)

  • Total surface area = 2r(h + r)

Sphere:

  • Volume = r^3 cubic units.

  • Surface area = (4r^2) sq. units.

Hemisphere:

  • Volume = r^3 cubic units.

  • Curved surface area = (2r^2)

  • Total surface area = (3r^2)
