x + y - 7 = 0, x - y + 1 = 0 = {x,y} = {3,4}

x + y  -7 = 0

x - y + 1 = 0

x + y = 7

x - y = -1

y + x = 7

y + x = -1

x = y - 1

(y -1) + y = 7

2y = 8

2y = 8

y = 4

x = y - 1

y = 4

x = (4)-1 = 3

  • The answer is {x , y} = {3 , 4}

  • I hope this helps! [ Sorry, the 2nd question is confusing so I didn't answer it. ]
