& the weight of goat be 'y'

& the weight of pig be 'z'

We have,

x + y = 14 ...(i)

x + z = 44 ...(ii)

y + z = 50 ...(iii)

x + y + z = ?

Now,

x + y = 14

x = 14 - y

Put the value of 'x' in eq.(ii)

x + z = 44

14 - y + z = 44

z = 30 + y

Put the value of 'z' in eq.(iii)

y + z = 50

y + 30 + y = 50

2y = 20

y = 10

Put the value of 'y' in eq.(i)

x + y = 14

x + 10 = 14

x = 4

Put the value of 'x' in eq.(ii)

x + z = 44

4 + z = 44

z = 40

Therefore, x + y + z = 4 + 10 + 40
