your question is -> Find the instàntaneous value of alternating voltage υ = 10 sin(3 π × 10 t) volt at i) 0 s ii) 50 μs iii) 75 μs.

solution :

instàntaneous voltage of an alternating current is the voltage at a specific point in time.

at t = 0s

Instàntaneous voltage , v = 10sin(3π × 10⁴ × 0) = 0 V.

Therefore the Instàntaneous voltage at t = 0s, is 0V.

at t = 50μs

Instàntaneous voltage, v = 10sin(3π × 10⁴ × 50 × 10¯⁶)

= 10sin(1.5π)

= 10sin(π + π/2)

= -10sin(π/2)

= -10 V

Therefore the instàntaneous voltage at t = 50μs , is -10V.

at t = 75μs

Instàntaneous voltage, v = 10sin(3π × 10⁴ × 75 × 10¯⁶)

= 10sin(2.25π)

= 10sin(2π + π/4)

= 10sin(π/4)

= 10/√2

= 5√2

= 7.07 V

Therefore the instàntaneous voltage at t = 75μs , is 7.07V.
