The intersection of A and B,  (A∩B) = {9}

Given:

A = {1, 4, 9, 16}

B = {3, 6, 9, 12}

To find:

The intersection of each of the pairs of sets A and B

Solution:

A = {1, 4, 9, 16}

B = {3, 6, 9, 12}

The intersection of 2 sets is = All the common elements in 2 sets

And it is denoted by "∩"

If A = {a, b, c} and B = {b, c, d} then ⇒ A∩B = {b, c}

From given data

A = {1, 4, 9, 16}

B = {3, 6, 9, 12}

Common elements in A and B = 9

The intersection of A and B ⇒ (A∩B) = {9}
