Rani Lakshmi Bai was a wise and courageous ruler of the Princely State of Jhansi. She was a courageos and brave person. She adopted a son, Damodar Rao to succeed the throne, she requested the British to accept her adopted son, but they did not. Her original name was Manikarnika. She breath her last in the battleground of Gwalior.
