Given,

Total money invested by A and B  = Rs. 12000

Total profit = Rs. 1800

A's share in the profit = Rs. 750

To Find,

The investment of A =?

Solution,

Profit of A = Rs. 750

Percentage of profit of A = Percentage of investment done by A

Therefore, the percentage of the profit of A=  (Profit of A / Total profit) *100

Percentage of profit of A = (750 / 1800) * 100

Percentage of profit of A = 41.67 %

The investment of A = 41.67% of the total money invested

The investment of A = (41.67 / 100) * 12000

The investment of A = 41.67  * 120

The investment of A = Rs. 5000

Hence, A invested Rs. 5000 in the business.
