=> 245 - 5 = 240

=> 1029 - 5 = 1024

By Prime Factorisation Method,

=> 240 = 2⁴ x 3 x 5

$= > 1024 = {2}^{10}$
Thus

HCF(1024,240) = 2⁴
=> HCF = 16

Thus the required answer is 16
