71 - 6 => 65 ---------(1)
120 - 3 => 117 ----------- (2)
now we are going to find out the H.C.F of (1) & (2).
65=> 5 × 13
117 => 3 × 3 × 13
H.C.F => 13
so, 13 is the largest number which divides 71 and 120 leaving remainders 6 and 3 respectively.
