Question : 2(x-1) ≤ 9-x , Where x € W ( i.e. whole numbers )

=> 2x - 2 ≤ 9 - x

• add x both sides ,

=> 3x - 2 ≤ 9

add 2 both sides ,

=> 3x ≤ 11

Divide by 3 in both sides ,

=> x ≤ 11/3 ≈ 3.6666..

Therefore , largest value of x for which 2(x-1) 9-x is .. 3 .

{ as , x is whole number }
