i)Diameter of a cylindrical(closed) petrol tank=4.2 m

h=4.5 cm

CSA =

2\pi \gamma h

using formula u get

59.4sq.m

ii)

TSA=

2\pi \gamma ( \gamma  + h)

using it we get,

87.12

metal wasted =1/2

Let the amount of steel used in making the tank=x

x-1/12=87.12

11x/12=87.12

x=12/11*87.12

x=95.04sq.m steel was used in actual while making such a tank.
