Given :

length = 16 cm

breadth= 12 cm

height = 8 cm.

To Find :

find the lateral surface area and the total surface area of a cuboid

Solution:

Length = 16 cm

Breadth = 12 cm

Height = 8 cm

Lateral surface area of cuboid = 2(l+b)h = 2(16+12)(8)=448 sq.cm.

Total surface area of cuboid = 2(lb+bh+hl)=2(16 \times 12+12 \times 8+ 8 \times 16)=832 sq.cm.

Hence The lateral surface area and total surface area of cuboid are 448 sq.cm. and 832 sq.cm. respectively.
