Find the lateral surface area and total surface area of a cuboid of length 80 cm, breadth 40 cm and height 20 cm.

Given :  Length of a cuboid = 80 cm

Breadth of cuboid = 40 cm

Height of cuboid = 20 cm

Lateral surface area of cuboid, L.S.A  = 2(l + b)h  

L.S.A of cuboid = 2(80 + 40) × 20  

L.S.A of cuboid = 2 × 120 × 20

L.S.A of cuboid = 4800 cm²

Total surface area of cuboid,T.S.A  = 2(lb + bh + hl)  

T.S.A of cuboid = 2(80 × 40 + 40 × 20 + 20 × 80)  

T.S.A of cuboid = 11200 cm²

 

Hence, the lateral surface area and total surface area of a cuboid is 4800 cm² & 11200 cm².
