given the perimeter of the floor of the rectangular hall = 320m

since the hall is rectangular, the floor also must be rectangular.

so we can write as,

➡ 2 ( l + b ) = 320m -------(1)

given height of the rectangular hall = 13m --------(2)

now, formula for the lateral surface of a cuboid is 2h ( l + b )

hall is rectangular, so obviously the it's a cuboid.

therefore lateral surface area of the hall = 2h ( l + b ) ---------(3)

putting values of (1) and (2) in (3)

= 320 × 13 (since 2 ( l + b ) = 320m and h = 13m)

= 4160m²

hence, the lateral surface area of the hall is 4160m²
