Find the lateral surface Area of a solid cylinder having diameter 50cm and height 3.5m

First, the formula used in this question :

Lateral surface area of cylinder

Now, come to question

Diameter d of cylinder = 50 cm

Radius r of cylinder = d/2 =50/ 2 = 25 cm = 0.25 m

Height h of cylinder = 3.5 m

Lateral surface area of cylinder

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7} \times 0.25 \times 3.5


 = 2 \times 22 \times 0.25 \times 0.5


 = 5.5 \:  \:  {m}^{2}
