Find the prime factorization of 840 :-

840 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 5 × 7

LCM = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 5 × 7

LCM = 5040

find= HCF

sol. by using E.D.L

a=bq+r

840= 144×5+120

hence r≠0

continuing E.D.L

144=120×1+24

hence r≠0

continuing E.D.L

120=24×5+0

HCF= 24
