See," Take all numbers with highest powers".To find LCM you have to represent all numbers with all products of its of its factors ,and then take all unique numbers from them , and multiply them .Look=

14=2×7×1

7=7×1

6=2×3×1.

All numbers in them are:2,3,7,1.

LCM= 2×3×7×1=42.

(If it would be , say, find lcm of 25,50)

25=5×5=5^2

50=2×5^2.

Take all numbers with highest powers.

U get LCM =5 square×2=50.
