In context to the question asked,

We have to determine the LCM of 4, 6, 8.

As per question,

We have to determine the value of LCM by prime factorisation.

As we know that,

LCM of two or more numbers are the lowest number which is a common multiple of the given number.

In prime factorisation method,

We will convert or rewrite the given number in term of factors of prime numbers.

So, prime factorisation of given number will be,

4 = 2\times 2\\6 = 2\times 3\\8 = 2\times 2 \times 2\\=>LCM = 2\times 2\times 2 \times 3 = 24

Hence, LCM of the given number will be 24.
